The Couch White Not-For-Profit Group serves as counsel and advisor to not-for-profit organizations, including trade groups, charter schools, PACs, lenders, volunteer groups, community-based organizations and their related entities, both charitable and non-charitable, at all stages of development from corporate formation to dissolution. We have experience with the full range of not-for-profit law, including the organization, merger and creation of related not-for-profit entities, asset purchases and sales, changes in governance, creation of subsidiaries, investment policy under the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act, contracting, handling conflicts of interest, facilities financings, real estate, employment law matters, general governance compliance, including Internal Revenue Service and state law filings and litigation.
