Charlie is a seasoned complex commercial litigator with a specialized focus on construction law in both State and Federal Court. With extensive experience representing general contractors, construction managers, and subcontractors, Charlie has successfully navigated a wide range of public and private construction projects. His expertise encompasses various sectors, including heavy and highway construction, wastewater treatment and power facilities, public-private partnerships, hospitals, retail spaces, office and mixed-use buildings, as well as school construction projects. Charlie also works closely with his clients in various alternative dispute resolution forums, including mediation and arbitration before the American Arbitration Association.
Known for his strategic approach and commitment to client advocacy, Charlie excels as an attorney in delivering effective solutions tailored to meet the unique challenges faced by each client. Prior to joining Couch White, Charlie was an associate at a full-service business law firm in New York City where he focused on complex commercial litigation. Charlie began his career as a law clerk in the Superior Court of New Jersey before serving as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office where he tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict.

- Advise clients on complex commercial litigation matters in the financial services, real estate, employment, and insurance sectors.
- Tried ten cases to verdict, including four felony jury trials, three misdemeanor jury trials, and three misdemeanor bench trials.
- Successfully arbitrated a dispute for a construction client against a municipality for the full monetary relief sought plus attorneys’ fees.
- Successfully defended the Managing Member of an LLC in a derivative lawsuit brought by a member seeking to reverse the sale of property owned by the LLC.
